Team Note: NJIT finishes 2013 at 8-10-1 while notching 6 shutouts, also a new program high in the Division I era, which began in 2006. The previous Division I high for wins was 7 when the Highlanders were 7-9-2 in 2009.This year's team also matched the overall program record for wins. Started as a Division III program in 1996, NJIT played in Division II from 1997 to 2005, posting an 8-6-3 mark the final season in Division II.

Prior to NJIT: The first recruit from Illinois for NJIT women's soccer is one of 13 Class of '12 players on her Eclipse Select Soccer Club who are bound for college soccer in the fall. Twelve from the Oak Brook, IL-based club outside of Chicago are headed for NCAA Division I programs. The 2011 team was Elite Club National League champion. Hattle won the Illinois state championship at the U13 level and the US Club Regional championship at U17. In ODP play, she was on the state team 2004-2005 and on the ODP Regional team in 2006.
