NJIT women’s soccer coach Ally Nick has added Abbie Roberts to the Highlanders’ coaching staff as Volunteer Assistant Coach in March 2025.
“I am very excited to be a part of the NJIT coaching staff. I hope I can use my experience of playing in college to help elevate this group,” Roberts said. “The team is a great group of girls with big energy! I can’t wait to work alongside Coach Ally, Ariana and Jordan and work towards a successful fall season.”
“We are excited to have Abbie join our coaching staff. She brings a lot of knowledge and experience playing at the national and collegiate level, learning under many different leadership styles,” Nick said. “She is eager to learn and has a passion for the game that shows. As a young coach, her knowledge of the game is tremendous and we are looking forward to her helping solidify our team’s defense and goals against average.”
Roberts joins NJIT whilst also acting as the head coach of three teams at STA. She was also the assistant coach of the 2025 STA ‘08 Champions Cup win.
Roberts played college soccer at Rider, Seton Hall, and Rutgers. She served as a co-captain at Seton Hall for two seasons and recorded six points (2 goals, 2 assists) during her senior season.
Roberts earned her bachelor’s degree in sports management from Seton Hall, and she received her MBA with a concentration in sports management from Rider.
