Women's Soccer Releases 2021 Schedule

NEWARK, N.J. --- NJIT women's soccer head coach Ally Nick has announced the Highlanders' 2021 schedule, the program's first fall slate as members of the America East Conference after joining the league in July 2020.

The Highlanders will play an 18-match schedule, equally divided between home and away contests. NJIT will face Temple in a scrimmage on August 14 before opening the campaign on the road on August 19 against St. John's.

NJIT's home opener will pit the Highlanders against Monmouth on August 22 at 4 p.m. at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium. It will be the first of two straight home games, with NJIT taking on Seton Hall in Newark on August 26.

After another road game against Pittsburgh on August 29, NJIT opens September with two more home matchups against Wagner (September 2) and Saint Peter's (September 4). The Highlanders' longest road trip of the year is a three-match affair from September 8-19. NJIT will head to Rider (September 8), Lafayette (September 12) and UMass Lowell (September 19) in the team's first America East match of the season.

NJIT will play one final non-conference at home - and the first of three straight home games - against St. Francis Brooklyn on September 22 before ending the regular season with eight straight America East competitions.

The Highlanders' first two America East home games conclude the three-game stretch when Maine (September 26) and defending champion Stony Brook (September 30) come to Newark.

Four of NJIT's final six games will come on the road: Vermont on October 3, UMBC on October 14, New Hampshire on October 17 and Hartford on October 28. NJIT's final home games will see the team host Binghamton on October 10 and UAlbany for Senior Day on October 24.

The America East Tournament is scheduled to begin with quarterfinal action on October 31, semis on November 4, and the championship game on November 7.

The Highlanders will bring back 21 returners from the 2020 campaign played in Spring 2021 and welcome seven freshmen and one transfer into the program.
