NEWARK, N.J. --- Day two of the America East Swimming Championships concluded for the NJIT men's swimming and diving team Saturday evening with a number of outstanding performances, including four medal positions in three events.
The highlight of the evening for the Highlanders was junior

Madrigal posted a time of 49.73, breaking his own school record of 50.33 (100 split from 400 Medley Relay, CCSA Championships, Feb.21, 2020) and giving NJIT its first-ever individual America East title to go along with Friday's two relay victories (200 Medley, 800 Free).
Madrigal picked up a second medal in the 100 Fly, taking third place with a mark of 49.45. That time bested his own school record of 49.50 from the 2020 CCSA Championships. However, Madrigal's teammate
Ian Horstkamp-Vinekar performed even better, logging a 49.38 to claim the record and a silver medal in the event.
The relay team of Madrigal,
