Final Results

DURHAM, NC—Freshman Dominika Pawlowska led the NJIT women's fencing team, placing ninth in the women's epee event Saturday at the 2020 Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Fencing Championships hosted by Duke University.
 
Pawlowska, a freshman from Zielona Gora, Poland, entered the event as the  No. 15 seed and registered a ninth place finish for the Highlander women in the epee event.  Marina Arrese finished 13^th.
 
In the women's foil event, Paloma Almodovar paced the Highlanders, earning a 10^th place finished followed by Annalena Shigihara (33^rd).
 
Freshman Dorottya Berczy was the top finisher for NJIT in the women's saber event with an 11^th place finish.  Following Berczy was Cassandra Sehic (T23rd), Janine Bacchus-Joseph (27^th) and Amanda Soliman (28^th).
