DURHAM, NC—Freshman
Dominika Pawlowska led the NJIT women's fencing team, placing ninth in the women's epee event Saturday at the 2020 Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Fencing Championships hosted by Duke University.
Pawlowska, a freshman from Zielona Gora, Poland, entered the event as the No. 15 seed and registered a ninth place finish for the Highlander women in the epee event.
Marina Arrese finished 13
th.
In the women's foil event,
Paloma Almodovar paced the Highlanders, earning a 10
th place finished followed by
Annalena Shigihara (33
rd).
Freshman
Dorottya Berczy was the top finisher for NJIT in the women's saber event with an 11
th place finish. Following Berczy was
