NEWARK, NJ—After a record-setting season for NJIT women's soccer, ASUN Conference Coach of the Year,
Ally Nick announced the addition of seven newcomers set to join the program in 2019.
"Coming off such an historic season, we are very excited for this class to continue to improve and take our program closer to our goals," third-year head coach Nick commented. "Throughout the recruiting process, these seven players saw our vision and the direction of the program. With the foundation the current players have established, I believe that this class will fit in immediately and propel us forward on the field, in the classroom and within the NJIT community."
Here is a closer look at the newcomers:
Gabrielle Lamadieu | D | Union, NJ | Club: NJ Elite Flames
A member of the 2018 US soccer club national champion, Lamadieu is a two-time all-County Watchung Division (2018—second team; 2017—first team) and all-State (2018) honoree.
The Union Senior High School defender was selected 2017 All-Star Top 16 U.C.G.S.A and played for the NJ Elite Flames club team.
Lamadieu intends to major in biology at NJIT in the Fall 2019.

Madison Taibl | D | Jackson, NJ | Club: PDA ECNL
Taibl, a New Jersey native, guided Jackson Memorial in 2017 to a 17-5 overall record, finishing tied for sixth in the Asbury Park Press Top 10 for Class A South.
The 5-foot-6 defender was a member of the 2015 PDA Mid-Atlantic Regional Champions and Northeast National Premiere League (NPL) Champs.
A National Honors Society member, Taibl intends to major in forensic science at NJIT in the Fall 2019.

Lauren Chamberlain | MF | Brownville, NY | Club: Syracuse Development Academy
Chamberlain, a midfielder from Brownville, NY, attended Immaculate Heart Central in Watertown, NY.
A Frontier League All-Star and Most Valuable Player selection, Chamberlain earned all-Central New York and second-team all-State honors.
Chamberlain, who played for the Syracuse Development Academy, intends to major in biology at NJIT in the Fall 2019.

Nora O'Connor | F | Alexandria, VA | Club: McLean ECNL
O'Connor, a 5-foot-10 forward from Virginia, attended Bishop Ireton, earning second-team all-WCAC and played club for McLean ECNL.
A member of the National Honors Society, O'Connor intends to major in forensic science at NJIT in the Fall 2019.

Bailey Chant | MF | Boonton, NJ | Club: Cedar Stars Academy DA
A top 20 all-State selection, Chant finished her career scoring 82 goals and 54 assists at Morris Catholic High School.
Chant netted 27 goals and 14 assists as a junior, guiding Morris Catholic to a 19-4 overall record and 12-0 conference mark.
The 2018 All-American Preseason Nominee, was a first-team all-Conference, all-County and all-State honoree, highlighted by earning a spot on the all-Region team.
The midfielder from Boonton, NJ, played for the Cedar Stars Academy DA and intends to major in business at NJIT in the Fall 2019.
Bailey Chant
Cassidy Landis |GK | Boyertown Area, PA | Club: West-Mont Premier Magic '00
Landis, a 5-foot-10 goalkeeper, attended Boyertown Area High School and played for West-Mont Premier Magic '00 club.
Landis helped West-Mont Premier Magic capture the Columbia Invitational in 2018 and selected Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA) Good Citizen Award.
West-Mont Premier Magic finished as the 2017 Under Armour Premier Cup and EPYSA State Cup finalist.
Landis intends to major in chemical engineering at NJIT in the Fall 2019.

Ariana Caminos | D | Pittsburgh, PA | Club: Century FC
The Pittsburgh native attended Mt. Lebanon High School, earning Big 56 Conference second-team and Class 4A all-Section team honors.
Caminos played club for Century FC and intends to major in engineering at NJIT in the Fall 2019.
