NEWARK, NJ—The NJIT women's tennis team fell to visiting, Drexel, 6-1 Sunday afternoon at the Namoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.

Highlander duo Nathalie Habegger and Alba Rosas Garcia fought hard in their doubles match, but were unable to secure the victory, as they were defeated by Drexel's Kendra Bunch and Ghita Benhadi, 6-4.  Drexel later added another doubles victory, securing the doubles point on the day.

Junior Natacha Minc secured the only singles victory on the day for the Highlanders, defeating Ghita Benhadi in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.

In singles, Habegger battled Lea Winkler to three sets, but it was the Drexel senior who prevailed in the end, defeating Habegger by a score of 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.

The Highlanders will look to get back on track Monday, March 13, as they travel to Melbourne, FL to take on Florida Tech, beginning at 3 pm.
