Drexel Nips Visiting Highlanders, 4-3

PHILADELPHIA—Drexel nipped visiting NJIT, 4-3, Sunday afternoon at Vidas Courts.

Drexel won its fourth straight match improving to 13-3 on the season while the Highlanders, who were on a four-match win streak drops to 7-6 on the season.

The Dragons earned the doubles point winning two out of three doubles contests while splitting the singles matches nipping the visiting Highlanders, 4-3.

Highlander senior Ksenia Kuzmenko won in straight sets at first singles, 6-4, 6-3 topping Zeynep Mafa. 

Natalia Melibeu was a straight set winner at fourth singles, 6-2, 6-3, defeating Lea Winkler while Martina Tripcovici earned a 6-4, 6-3 victory at the sixth spot over Alex Bell.

The Highlanders next scheduled action is Saturday, April 12 at Villanova.  The match will begin at 2:30pm.
