BANGOR, Maine—NJITHighlanders.com is the place for live coverage of men's basketball Tuesday night (7 pm tip; pre-game at least 15 minutes earlier), when the Highlanders take on the University of Maine in the first college game played in the new Cross Insurance Center about 10 miles from Maine's Orono campus.

Matt Provence, voice of the Highlanders, will have the pre-game show and all the play-by-play call, as NJIT visits Maine in men's basketball for the first time since December 1, 2007 (Maine also played the Highlanders in NJIT's first season of Division I competition in 2006-07 and the Black Bears won both contests).

This year, Maine brings a 1-2 record into its encounter with the Highlanders. The Black Bears opened with a 97-77 loss at Rhode Island and came home to beat NAIA program Fisher, 111-64, in Memorial Gym on the Orono campus. Heading back out on the road, Maine lost at George Washington, 108-81, on November 12.

Meanwhile, NJIT is 2-2, having won its last two games, first at Army last Friday (89-85) and then Sunday afternoon at New Hampshire (71-63). The game in Maine will complete a bus road trip that has covered the last three games. Overall, the Highlanders will have played their first five contests away from home.
