NJIT will close out its three-game homestead on Saturday at 2pm hosting Wagner before playing its first road game of the 2011-12 season at Delaware State on November 23.

The Highlanders (1-1) got into the win column on November 13 with a 70-66 victory over Brown.  Wednesday evening freshman center Nicole Maticka scored 15 points and registered a school record with eight blocked shots in just her second collegiate game, as NJIT dropped a 68-57 decision to Fairleigh Dickinson.

Wagner, also 1-1, suffered a 70-46 loss at Army on November 11 in the Seahawks season-opener but bounced back Wednesday night with a 66-54 victory in the home-opener over Columbia.

Two games into the season, the Highlanders have three players averaging double-digits.  Leading the way for the NJIT squad is freshman G Sarah Olson 18ppg and 7rpg.  In the freshman's debut, she registered 25 points, 8 rebounds and notched double-figures in the loss vs. FDU with 11 points, 6 rebounds.  Olson was named Great West Conference Player of the Week on November 17 for her performance vs. Brown.

Kimberly Dweck is the third double-figure scorer for the Highlanders with 10ppg.  Dweck has come off the bench for NJIT the last two games, adding 13 points vs. Brown, three of which came at the free throw line with 1.2 seconds left after being fouled on a deep 3-pointer.

Wagner is paced by 6-foot-3 C Kelly Clark with 14ppg and 9rpg.  Last time vs. NJIT Clark scored a game-high 30 points en route to a 71-55 victory over the Highlanders on Staten Island.
