PHILADELPHIA, PA - Traci DePasquale scored two goals in the second half, leading La Salle past visiting NJIT, 4-0, in a women's college soccer match Friday night at McCarthy Stadium.

The Explorers scored once in the first 30 minutes and added three second-half goals to raise their season record to 6-5.

Sophomore Heatherrae Steadman opened the scoring in the eighth minute scoring the only goal of the first half.

DePasquale tallied her sixth goal of the season in the 52nd minute and added another in the 60th. Sophomore Ally Kenny notched her first goal of the season in the second-half for the Explorers.

Senior Kristin Hextall posted two assists while Michelle Verzi and Sara Copare each picked up an assist. Explorer goalkeeper Melissa Sanger recorded three saves.

The Highlanders recorded three shots on goal by - Kyrsten Howell-Harries, Christi Taylor and Erika Taugher. Freshman Xiomara Medina recorded a shot of her own.

NJIT freshman goalkeeper Sadie Mele recorded 10 saves; two shy of her career-high 12 saves against Quinnipiac back on September 9.

The Highlanders return to action on Sunday, October 7 when they travel to Annapolis, MD to take on Navy at 5pm.
