Bendary is a 2015 graduate of St. Anthony High School in his hometown, Jersey City. He was coached at St. Anthony by Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame coach Bob Hurley... Bendary joins NJIT two years after Tim Coleman, a 2013 St. Anthony grad, who was a stalwart for the record-setting 2014-15 Highlanders, who won 21 games and reached the semifinals of the national postseason CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT)... A member of the National Honor Society in high school, Bendary has a brother and two cousins who are NJIT graduates.
