NEWARK, NJ -- On January 5th, the Women's Basketball team performed community service at the Burnet Street Elementary/Middle School in Newark. The team members spent part of the day as classroom assistants in grades PreK through 1, helping the students with reading comprehension, writing and geography. They also met with the middle school students, discussing topics that included goal setting, the importance of academics and how the individual team members acquired their athletic scholarships.
