WEST POINT, NY – Despite NJIT men's lacrosse 19-6 loss to #8/10 Army West Point,
Aaron Forster became the Highlanders all-time career points leader and the all-time assist leader posting a goal and assist on Monday.
Forster breaks former Highlander
Joe Lomeli's record of 40 career points, tallying 41 after his assist on
Cole Robillard's goal in the fourth quarter.
The assist also put Forster in front of former Highlander
Ryan Bradway for career assists with 15.
Forster who is only a sophomore has 26 career goals and 15 career assists.
Also scoring for the Highlanders were
Ryan Callaghan and
Ryan Darrow who grabbed two goals each. Along with his goal, sophomore Robillard also posted an assist.
John Tachon notched a team-high six ground balls and three caused turnovers.
The Black Knights received goals from nine different players, including hat-tricks from Nate Jones, David Symmes and Ted Glesener.
Army West Point went up 2-0 in the first quarter, before Forster got the Highlanders on the board in the ninth minute.
The Black Knights would score six unanswered goals before senior Callaghan scored his first goal of the game, and added another in the last second before going into halftime with a 9-2 lead.
In an eight goal third quarter for Army West Point, the Highlanders were able to post two goals from the two Ryan's, Darrow and Callaghan.
The score was more evenly matched in the fourth, which each team scoring two goals. Miles Silva earned two for his team, and for NJIT Robillard and Darrow tabbed the last two goals of the game.

Cameron Cronk made 13 saves in his second consecutive start.
Four keepers shared the net and accumulated two saves for Army West Point, AJ Barretto earned the win, Matt Isnardi and Matt Koziol who each posted a save, and Paul Newbold also got time between the pipes.
The Highlanders host #5 Rutgers on March 17 for a 7pm game at Drew University's Ranger Stadium.
