ATHENS, GA – Four members of the NJIT men's swimming and diving team set school records on Day Three at the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Championships, Friday at the Gabrielson Natatorium located at the University of Georgia.
At the conclusion of Day Three, UMBC stands in first with 699 points, followed by Incarnate Word in second with 535 points. Gardner-Webb holds the third spot with 484 points, followed by NJIT with 190 points. VMI sits in fifth place with 158 points, while Howard rounds out the field with 113 points.

Christian Giglio each set new school records in their respective events.
During the 400-yard individual medley final, Quirie placed seventh with a time of 4:03.16, a new school record. Junior
Richard Seffrin also competed in the 400 IM, clocking in with a time of 4:06.85.
Moore set a new school record in the 100-yard butterfly, placing tenth at 50.82.
Captain Capozzola set another school record for the Highlanders in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 41.98.
In the preliminaries of the 100-yard backstroke, Giglio broke the NJIT school record with a time of 52.07, and finished with a time of 52.34 in the finals. Quirie finished the 100 back in 52.25.
Senior diver
David Schmidt placed seventh in the 1-meter diving event, combining for 176.75 points.
The CCSA Championship will continue with the final day of action on Saturday, February 21 at 10:00 a.m., starting with the 200-yard backstroke preliminaries. The event finals for day three will start at 6:00 p.m.
