RUTHERFORD, NJ – Tim Camp, the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information at New Jersey Institute of Technology received the Mike Cohen “Good Guy” Award at the 76th Annual Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Awards Dinner at Giants Stadium Wednesday night.
This award is honored annually to someone who has been especially friendly and helpful to the media, often going above and beyond to make their jobs easier and more pleasant.
Camp joined the NJIT staff in August of 2005 following 16 years at Saint Peter’s College in Jersey City, where he served as Assistant of Athletics for Sports Information. He was inducted into the Saint Peter’s Hall of Fame in 2008 for his services.
At NJIT, Camp’s responsibilities include assisting in the administration of the athletics department, publicizing the activities of the Highlanders’ 19 varsity teams, development and production of all the athletic publications, and overseeing the maintenance of the department's website.
