Fencing & Swimming Volunteers at 15th Annual Global Volunteer Day

NEWARK, NJ – NJIT’s fencing and swimming teams were in attendance at the 15th Annual Global Volunteer Day on Saturday, October 3, assisting in cleaning up parks and planting trees around the city and its public parks.
Over 500 volunteers helped weed and mulch the park's famous cherry blossom trees in Newark's Branch Brook Park.
This activity is the latest of community services undertaken by NJIT’s student-athletes.
