Women's Volleyball Sweeps Great West Conference Weekly Honors
Junior Baaba Hughes tabs Great West Conference Player of the Week honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. --- NJIT women’s volleyball player’s Baaba Hughes and Sabrina Baby have been selected Great West Conference Volleyball Players of the Week the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Hughes and Baby led the Highlanders to a five-set victory over Utah Valley Saturday afternoon to clinch first-place in the Great West Conference.
Hughes, a junior outside hitter, posted 17 kills and 12 digs registering her fourth double-double of the season.
Baby, who leads the nation in digs per set recorded a match-high 36 digs. The senior co-captain has recorded double digits in the digs category in every match played this season (18).
Hughes, Baby and the Highlanders will return to action on Wednesday, October 14 when they travel to Easton, PA to face Lafayette at 7pm.
